id

Identifies one or more columns which when combined represent a primary key in the worksheet. This is a stronger assertion than unique, which only checks the column it was applied to for uniqueness.

The id directive can check for one or more groups of columns for uniqueness on the same worksheet. This is a powerful validation feature, as it allows for combinations of uniqueness specified on the entire worksheet. It is also a powerful signal that the values in the grouped columns should be considered a primary key.

The first form is the bare application of id, without specifying a group name.

Example 1

Suppose you have one or more multi column ids on the same worksheet. Providing a group name allows id to differentiate one groups of primary key from another.

pebblestream:id:"group name"
